Gregory Brown, a University of Louisville Alumni, was once a young man who battled homelessness at an early age and who also spent majority of his life supporting family diagnosed with mental illness. Gregory is now the C.E.O and Executive Director of Breaking Barriers of KY, LLC. With personal experience, Gregory has been working in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities for 15 years and has worked alongside a plethora of dedicated professionals in his field. Gregory has experience advocating on behalf of and with persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities to ensure equal rights, health, safety, and welfare. Gregory has worked in several different capacities including direct care, case management, and serval administrative and supervisory roles. Gregory has developed many curriculums, person centered plans, policies, and supports that have shaped the services and lives of people with disabilities for the better, promoting community integration and increased quality of life. Gregory specializes in business management and development and has worked with some of the largest companies in the state in order to build, manage, and expand business with his personal approach to providing service. For the last 6 years, Gregory has served as the Executive Director and C.E.O of Breaking Barriers which continues to be one of the leading agencies in the state.
